Common questions
- What kinds of furniture do you build?
- Credenzas, console tables, dining tables, nightstands, sideboards, media consoles, and accent furniture. Mostly solid wood in painted or stained finishes, though we work with other materials when the design calls for it.
- What is architectural millwork?
- Architectural millwork is the wood detail work that belongs to the building — wall paneling, wainscot, custom molding and trim, library walls, coffered ceilings, and window surrounds. It is the difference between a room that looks finished and one that looks designed.
- Do you build one-off pieces or do you require multiples?
- One-off pieces are what we do. Every project is custom. We do not produce runs or stock items.
- Can you match a specific wood species or finish?
- Yes. If you have an existing piece to match, send a photo or bring a sample. If you have a specific species in mind — white oak, walnut, maple, cherry — we source the lumber accordingly. We can also match painted finishes to a specific color.
- Do you build wall paneling?
- Yes. Shiplap, board-and-batten, raised-panel wainscot, full-height library paneling, and flat-panel accent walls. Paneling is often paired with cabinetry — a library wall that combines paneling with shelving and cabinet doors, for example.
