Custom Kitchen Cabinetry in Chicago

A full custom kitchen takes time to get right. We work through the details with you — layout, materials, finishes, appliance integration — so when installation day comes, everything fits the way it is supposed to.

What we build

  • Painted and stained cabinetry in any style from shaker to flat-panel
  • Inset and overlay door construction
  • Custom hood surrounds
  • Integrated refrigerator, dishwasher, and appliance panels
  • Hidden storage, pull-out shelving, and drawer inserts
  • Range alcoves and niche details
  • Matching existing cabinetry for additions, replacements, or updates

What to send us to get started

  • Floor plan or rough layout with dimensions
  • Appliance model numbers and spec sheets
  • Countertop material and edge profile preference
  • Finish direction — painted color, stain, or wood species
  • Any inspiration images

Once we have layout, appliances, and finish direction, we develop shop drawings for approval before anything gets built. Lead time starts after drawing approval, not at deposit.

Common questions

How do I get a quote for custom kitchen cabinetry?
We start with a conversation about the project — space, scope, and finish direction. If you have drawings, we review them. If not, we work from dimensions and a rough layout. From there we can give you a budget range before committing to detailed drawings.
Do you build painted and stained kitchens?
Yes. We do both painted and stained finishes across all door styles. Colors and stain samples are available to review before final selection.
Can you build around Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, and other appliances?
Yes. We work from manufacturer spec sheets and cut sheets to build panels, surrounds, and cabinets that integrate with specific appliances. If you have model numbers, send them when you reach out.
Do you build inset and overlay cabinetry?
We build both. Inset cabinetry — where the door sits flush inside the face frame opening — requires tighter tolerances and has a more traditional, tailored look. Overlay is more common in contemporary kitchens. We can walk you through the difference if you are unsure which direction fits the project.
What is the lead time for a custom kitchen?
Lead times vary with project complexity and our current schedule. Lead time starts after final shop drawing approval, not at deposit. The time between initial contact and drawing approval depends on how quickly decisions get made on layout, finish, and appliances.
Do you refinish existing kitchens as well as build new ones?
Depending on the project, we can discuss matching existing cabinetry, selected replacement pieces, and refinishing options. If the boxes are in good shape and the scope makes sense, it is worth a conversation.
