Closets & Storage
Mudroom and Storage Cabinets in Chicago
Entry storage has to handle coats, bags, boots, and kids' gear while still looking like it belongs to the house. We build mudrooms and storage cabinets that function well and hold up.
What we build
- Mudroom cabinets with upper cabinets, cubbies, and bench storage
- Primary and secondary closets with real cabinet construction
- Walk-in closets: hanging, shelving, drawers, and center islands
- Laundry room cabinets
- Hallway and entry storage
What to send us to get started
- Wall and ceiling dimensions
- What needs to be stored: coats, shoes, sports gear, bags
- Any bench height or cubby size preferences
- Finish direction
Mudroom cabinets often happen alongside a kitchen renovation or home addition. We can coordinate timing and delivery with your general contractor.
Common questions
- What is the difference between your cabinets and a wire closet system?
- Wire and modular systems are adjustable but built to generic dimensions. Our cabinets are built to the room's exact size with furniture-grade construction: finished interiors, solid joinery, and hardware that lasts. A wire system is fine as a temporary solution. Our cabinets are built to stay.
- Can you build a mudroom with upper cabinets, cubbies, and a bench?
- Yes, that is one of the most common configurations we build. Upper cabinet storage, open cubbies sized for coats and bags, a bench seat, and either a drawer bank or lower cabinet storage below. We size the cubbies around the number of people who will use the space.
- Do you build walk-in closets?
- Yes. Walk-in closets use the same furniture-grade cabinets as the rest of our work: real cabinet boxes with finished interiors, rather than wire shelving on adjustable tracks. Double-hanging, single-hanging, drawer banks, shoe shelving, and a center island if the space allows.
- Do you build laundry room cabinets?
- Yes. Upper and lower cabinets around a washer and dryer setup, with a folding surface and any sorting bin or sink integration that fits the space.
